Whether you need help paying one bill or many, or are looking for information to help someone else, you are not alone. Your local 211 agency has the most up-to-date information about local assistance that may be available to you.

Your local 211 is the best resource for help finding options to pay your rent, mortgage, or utilities bills and stay in your home.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Visit the CFPB website for a list of state and local organizations that can help renters struggling to keep up with rent and other bills. 

Gainesville Housing Authority
The GHA is an advocate and provider for affordable housing for families. Working with the City of Gainesville, U.S. Department of HUD, and other organizations, the GHA provides life resources and opportunities not only to residents, but to the entire community. 
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. 
Neighborhood Housing & Development Corporation
A 501 C-3 not-for-profit corporation formed in the State of Florida, that seeks to improve the quality of life and economic opportunities of low- and moderate-income persons residing within Gainesville and surrounding counties by providing programs and services that will address identified community needs. 
Peaceful Paths 
Peaceful Paths is the certified domestic violence center that serves survivors of domestic violence in Alachua, Bradford and Union counties  
Rental Housing Counseling
Housing counselors throughout the country can provide advice on buying a home, renting, defaults, forbearances, foreclosures and credit issues. If you’d like help from a local expert who offers rental housing counseling, call 1-800-569-4287 or visit the CFPB website. 
St. Francis House
Located in Gainesville, St. Francis House provides case management, nutritious meals, and educational, health and career resources in a safe and secure environment.
